From Birmingham International Airport you can take a taxi directly to the University Conference Park on Edgbaston Park Road, which costs about 35 GBP.
Alternatively, take the free Air-Rail link from the Airport terminal building to the Birmingham International Railway station. From there, take a train to
Birmingham New Street and change for a train to Birmingham University as described below.
From Heathrow Airport you can take a direct National Express Coach to the Birmingham Coach station. For more information on arriving

The main Birmingham station is Birmingham New Street, where there are several
trains each connecting Birmingham to London, the Midlands and the north.
Alternatively, there are trains connecting London Marylebone
to Birmingham Moor Street
(which is 5 minutes walk from Birmingham New Street).

From Birmingham New Street one needs to take another train to come to the University of Birmingham.
Most of the trains that stop at Birmingham University are the London Midland trains to Redditch or Longbridge (they usually depart from
platform 11B at the Birmingham New Street Station).
The University Conference Park is a 15 minutes walk from the University train station. See the

If your accommodation is the Old Farm Hotel, then instead of leaving the train at the University station travel for another 5 minutes to Bournville. From Bournville station, the Old Farm Hotel is just a short walk.
The Birmingham Coach station is located in the city centre. There is regular service to central London and London airports. The coach station is 15 minutes walk from Birmingham New Street.
Numbers 61, 62 and 63 travel from the city centre to the Edgbaston campus.
