LMS/EPSRC short instructional course

Monday 15–Friday 19 September 2008

School of Mathematics

University of Birmingham

Below is information about the accommodation for the short course. If you have any questions, then please email me, Simon (goodwin(at)maths.bham.ac.uk).

The accommodation is in Shackleton Hall, which is on the Vale, see map; this a better pdf version of the map. Information about how to get to the accommodation is given on the travel page. If you are arriving on Monday morning, I suggest coming first to the School of Mathematics and going to the accommodation later that day. You should all have said whether you will be arriving on Sunday or Monday; if you are unsure, then it would be safest to email me (goodwin(at)maths.bham.ac.uk) to check. Everyone has to leave the accommodation on Friday morning; there will be a room for your luggage at the School of Mathematics.

To check in you should go to the main reception at Shackleton Hall. They should have a list of names of who has a room booked for the short course. You will be able to check in from 15:00. If you are arriving late (say after 21:00) on Sunday, then please let me know by email (goodwin(at)maths.bham.ac.uk) so that I can inform the reception.

The rooms are single (study) bedrooms, and will have all bedding and towels supplied; you will need to bring all your own toiletries. There is a kitchen on each corridor, which will have tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. Breakfast is included, please ask for information on arrival.

Lunch will be provided on the university campus, and there will be an allowance for evening meal, see the eating page for more information.
