Below is information about how to get the accommodation and venue for the short course.

If you are arriving on Monday morning, I suggest coming to the School
of Mathematics first and then checking in to the accommodation later.
Arrival by train
Take a train to Birmingham New Street, then follow instructions below.
Arrival by plane
If you are arriving by plane at Birmingham International Airport, then
you should take the monorail to Birmingham International Train Station.
Then a train to Birmingham New Street.
Arrival by car

Venue
The short course will be held in the Watson building at the University of Birmingham, which houses the
School of Mathematics.
It is building R15 on this map.
Accommodation
Participants will be accommodated in Shackleton Hall on the Vale, see
map; this a better
pdf version of the map. This is
a short walk (approximately 15 minute) from the School of Mathematics. The optimal
route can be determined from the maps.
Getting to the School of Mathematics from Birmingham New Street
Take a local train to the station called "University". This station is marked on
this map and it is
a short walk to the School of Mathematics.
Getting to the accommodation from Birmingham New Street
You can take a train to "University" station, and then walk to Shackleton Hall.
This is a non-trivial walk, so you may prefer to take a taxi from
outside New Street Station, this should cost a about £6.
