The timetable
The timetable in your pack is complicated and
rather confusing.
The timetable will not make much sense to you
just yet, but it will make much more sense in a week or two.
For the first week, you should follow the following
rules.
- You should attend all lectures in modules you are
taking. Lecturers will explain the details of Examples
Classes and any other classes connected with their module.
- Lecturers will explain full details of their module in the
first lecture. You MUST attend the first lecture.
- You should check which MSM1A computer lab group you are in
on the noticeboard outside LRA or
from this webpage
and go to that lab (and
not any of the others) on Monday or Tuesday of the first week.
- If you think you want to or think you should take MSM1Z
then you need to attend the meeting in the Computer Lab on the
Tuesday of the first week. This will take 30 minutes or so.
- Your tutor will have arranged a time to meet you in the
first week. Make sure you attend.
- Single honours students need to attend lectures for
the MOMD: MSM1X or MSM1Z or some module outside this school.
(MSM1Y students follow the same lectures as MSM1X in the autumn term.)
- You do not have to attend anything else in the first
week, but you must keep an eye on the noticeboard outside LRA
for other announcements.
- Examples classes, workshops and other sessions will start
in the second week. You will not go to all examples classes but
you will be allocated classes that you can attend without clashes.
Note that you will need to know your university user name,
email address, and password in the first computer lab on Monday
of the first week.
