Modular vocabularies: Traps for the Uninitiated

• Remember that elts have names and puncs have values.
• Put punctuation and other token types in the right order in accept="...".
• Remember that value="" means any value so this needs to be last in a mode allowing the empty punctuation string.
• Watch out for "automatic" <mv:abort/>s These occur:
  • when indentation is turned on and the new token is not at the right level;
  • when maxargs has been exceeded;
  • when no token was found that matches the accept attribute. (It is a fatal error if one matches accept but none of the match nodes inside the mode.)
• Remember the difference between exporting parameters and not; This is similar to the "export" command in the shell.
• Be careful about names of modes, that such modes exist, etc.
