I was born in 1979.
My full name is Rebecca Anne Hedwig Waldecker.





I have a younger sister who is
a sports and fitness sales woman
(about to make a career change)
and a still younger brother who started university in 2006.  
He wants to become a developing engineer.

Right now I am very glad to be here in Birmingham!
Especially because I am a big fan of Curry.       smiley
I enjoy my job at the university a lot.
Working with interested pupils is something else I like to do,
in workshops or summer schools,
and it always makes me happy to share
my enthusiasm about maths with them.

 When I am not doing maths, I like to do some sports (see below as well),   jumping smiley
in particular all kinds of dancing (for example HipHop).     
I am also interested in various kinds of music,
from classical music to Heavy Metal,      music smiley
singing in a band, in the University Choir ....
Here is a cover version of Blind Guardian's "The Bard's Song - In the forest" with Olly, Tom and Drago.

I am a particular Calvin & Hobbes fan and together with my boyfriend collected nearly all the books by now.   
And yes, I have to admit that I belong to the "Harry Potter Club" - I read all the books with great enthusiasm and keep watching the films.
One of my favourite meals is definitely Curry which is even better if you are with friends and you played table football before.
