Staff - about computer algebra marking

The AIM computer aided assessment system links the Maple computer algebra system to the internet to perform sophisticated evaluation of students' answers. This includes

an algebraic equivalence check with a correct answer,
partial credit
feedback (both positive and negative) based on mathematical properties of an answer.

You may view some material on our site as a guest user with the username "guest", and no password. More information may be found in the the following papers:

Staff - obtaining, installing and developing AIM

AIM is an open source project and the system is freely available. Furthermore, many users are happy to share learning materials, and question sets to use with the system itself. More information about AIM may be found on the AIM home page.

Developers are currently using Sourceforge.net.

There is also a JISCmail list, including an archive of past mail.
