British Early Career Mathematicians' Colloquium
13th - 14th June 2024
The British Early Career Mathematicians' Colloquium aims to consolidate the network among early career researchers and postgraduate students from across the country. This two-day event will be divided into parallel sessions, each with plenary speakers as well as contributed postgraduate talks. After tremendous recent success, we are pleased to announce that the conference will again be having sessions on Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, History of Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
Participants at BECMC 2023.Call for abstracts
Postgraduate students working in any field of Mathematics are encouraged to submit an abstract for a short talk (20 minutes + questions). This includes students from the UK as well as abroad. The submission deadline is the 15th of May.
Guidelines for abstract submission:
Please send the title and abstract for your talk as either a TeX file or, if there are no formulas or mathematical symbols, in the body of your email. Please try to limit your abstract to 1000 characters or less. Literature references will not be included in the book of abstracts. Send submissions to becmc2024@contacts.bham.ac.uk. The deadline informing of accepted abstracts is the 22nd of May.Registration

The colloquium will take place at the University of Birmingham Edgbaston campus, about 2 miles away from the city centre. Instructions for travelling to the university can be found on its main website here.
Accommodation
Participants are invited to make their own accommodation arrangements. We recommend the following options:- Lucas House - University run accommodation (10 minute walk from campus).
- Ibis Budget Birmingham Centre - Inexpensive hotel (45 minute walk from campus but with a bus service also available through routes 61 or 63).
- Renwick House - Inexpensive hostel style accommodation (10 minute walk from campus).
