Practical information
The workshop will take place on the Edgbaston Campus at the University of Birmingham.
Registration will take place in the Bramall Music Building
(building R12 on the campus map)
from 8.45am until 9.20am on Tuesday, 5th January.
The entrance to the building is from Chancellor's Court.
Please go upstairs to the foyer on the first floor for registration and coffee.
Talks will start at 9.30am on Tuesday (5th January), and
the workshop will finish around 4.00pm on Wednesday (6th January).
All talks will take place in Lecture Room WG12 in the west wing of the Aston Webb Building
(R5 on the campus map).
The access is via the main entrance to the Aston Webb Building (R6 on the map) from Chancellor's Court.
Coffee-breaks will be in the foyer on the first floor of the Bramall Music Building.
The Bramall Music Building and the Aston Webb Building are connected by the gallery.
Lunches will be provided in the Staff House (building R24 on the map), the Noble Room (second floor).
Birmingham is easily accessible from the UK, Europe and all over the World
by air (via Birmingham International Airport),
by rail (via Birmingham New Street and
Birmingham Moor Street stations), and
by road (via Birmingham Coach station).

The Bramall Music Building and the Aston Webb Building are at the heart of campus, next to the
'Old Joe' clock tower; they are about 5 minute walk from the train station 'University', which is right on campus.
The University station is linked to the central
Birmingham New Street station by the cross-city line
(there are up to six trains per hour, the journey time is about 10 minutes).
A journey by taxi from the Birmingham International Airport to the University
takes about 30 minutes and costs about 35 GBP.
A taxi from Birmingham city centre costs less than 10 GBP, with the journey time about 10 minutes.
If you travel by car, we recommend to use the multi-storey pay on exit
North East Car Park (access is via Pritchatts Road, Sat Nav Postcode B15 2SA).
Participants are advised to book their accommodation well in advance.
